Butterfly

July 31, 2007

img_3139card4.jpgAlthough this is made using a retired set which I have now sold I like the technique so I decided to post it anyway. I like the technique used on the background: embossing the image in clear embossing powder. It is hard to see in the photo but the butterfly has a second layer which is raised by stamping dimensionals.

My first order from the new catalog should arrive today so that will help me cope with missing the cottage, the lake and the friends who are still there.

Supplies:

Stamps: Measure of a Life
Inks: Versamark, Night of Navy & Bravo Burgandy markers
Cardstock: Whisper White, Night of Navy, Bravo Burgandy
Also: Burgandy grosgrain ribbon, clear E.P., stampin’ dimensionals.

Another look at Spring

July 19, 2007

A gallery of sorts

July 16, 2007

I have been toying with the idea of a gallery for displaying my cards for quite a while and have decided to try posting them on a blog. If you are like me and like cutting up little pieces of cardstock, fabric, ribbon and such in order to stick it or sew it back together then you might find some ideas here. If you would rather read the telephone directory than do craft then this is not the place for you!
